GOVERNOR UZODIMMA DISSOLVES CABINET, RETAINS 8 COMMISSIONERS, SACKS 2O

 

As a way to rejig and reenergize the system in Imo State for maximum productivity, Governor of the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma Wednesday dissolved the State Executive Council.

Governor Uzodimma while announcing the dissolution of the 28- member cabinet, relieved 20 commissioners of their duties and retained eight commissioners, in what is acclaimed to be the first major cabinet reshuffle since assuming office in January 15, 2020.

The Ministries whose Commissioners were retained in the dissolution include Finance, Science and Technology, Health, Works, Information, Youths and Sports, Women Affairs and Tourism.

Governor Uzodimma thanked the former Commissioners and assured them that they will still be found relevant in other areas if eventually they did not make the new cabinet.

He also gave the indication that the new cabinet would be reconstituted soon.
