THREE STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES IN PORT HARCOURT

 

A three storey building building has collapsed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital on Wednesday morning.

The building located at Number 112 Bende Street, Old Port Harcourt Township, is said to be a very old building, which has long lost the integrity of habitation.

Brave Correspondent reports that a part of building collapsed at the early hours of Wednesday at about 4am.

However, no human casaulty was recorded as inhabitants survived in what some residents of the neighborhood described as a miraculous intervention of God.

The partial collapse of the building this morning left its occupants stranded.

Other nearby residents were said to have rushed witt ladders and other equipment to evacuate the occupants to safety as the staircase had been affected and could not be accessed at the time.

Officials of the Rivers State Ministry of Lands and Housing were yet to visit or confirm the development at the time of filing this report.
