RIVERS NYNC BLASTS STATE GOVERNMENT’S DECISION TO CONSTRUCT TWO MORE FLY OVERS IN PORT HARCOURT, CONDEMNS ENDORSEMENT OF SIM FUBARA BY SOME YOUTHS

The last weekend approval by the Rivers State Government to construct additional two fly overs at the Rumuokwuta roundabout and Location junction along the NTA-Mgbuoba road is not going down well with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) led by NWISABARI SAMUEL BANI in the state.

This is as the Chairman of NYCN in the State led by NWISABARI SAMUEL BANI criticized Governor NYESOM WIKE for paying deaf ears to the lamentations and cries of the business community and property owners in the areas concerned.

NWISABARI while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, accused Governor NYESOM WIKE of running the affairs of the state without any known blue print, adding that the government has lost touch with realities and the people.

“We currently experience emergency erection if overhead bridges, that is not solution driven nor reflect the current needs of the people of Rivers State.

“They will tell you that Rivers youths are employed by a construction giant, JULIUS BERGER but how sustainable is the employment and how many of their kids, nephews, niece and relatives work there?

“It is most appalling tp hear a government not boasting of how many industries it has built, graduates it has employed, scholarship it has awarded (local and foreign), how many millionaires it has raised in the past seven years but rather, over rated overhead bridges. Rivers State has been relegated IN human capital and economic developments”.

The Youth Leader also reiterated his criticism over the endorsement of PDP Candidate and Solidarity Walk along some major streets in Port Harcourt by CHIJIOKE IHUNWO led faction of the NYCN.

NWISABARI BANI said the CHIJIOKE IHUNWO led faction was created by some PDP leaders and the present government in the state to cause confusion and disaffection among the youths of Rivers State.

“There has never a time, when the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Rivers State ever endorsed any candidate of political party for the forth coming general elections in 2023.

“It is like a premature ejaculation to feel that anybody will get the support of the youths of Rivers State through the back door, without telling us their plans for the development of Rivers youths.

“The youths of Rivers State will not delve into the issues and allegations of misappropriation of N117 billion by the EFCC hovering on the head of the candidate of the PDP, SIM FUBARA ahead of the 2023 governorship election.

“But we urge him not to be afraid to consult Rivers youths, whom he wish should hire him for the governorship job in 2023”.

Brave TV correspondent reports that NWISABARI also criticized the Rivers State Government for its inability to address the plight of Retirees and Pensioners in the state.

He also condemned the attitude of the Federal Government towards the University Lecturers in the ongoing ASUU strike.

All efforts to speak with the CHIJIOKE IHUNWO led NYCN proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
