CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (CAN) ELECTS ONELGA PASTOR AS PRESIDENT
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has elected an Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni (ONELGA) born Pastor, Most Reverend DANIEL DUMEBI OKOH as its new President.
Rev. DANIEL OKOH is the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church, also known as Nation Builders. He emerged CAN President on Tuesday.
Spokesman of CAN, JOSEPH DARAMOLA in a statement made available sighted by BraveViews, said his election followed the expiration of the second tenure of Rev AYOKUNLE of Nigerian Baptist Convention.
BraveViews reports that the change of leadership is coming amidst the association’s strong agitation against a Muslim-Muslim Presidential ticket of APC.
It is worthy to note that CAN is made up of five blocs: Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN)/Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), (TEKAN and ECWA Fellowship).
