RSG BEGINS PROJECTS COMMISSIONING/FLAG-OFF AS GOVERNOR FUBARA MARKS 100 DAYS IN OFFICE

As the Rivers State Government marks one hundred days in office of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo has assured citizens of the State Governor’s commitment to deliver quality and strategic projects that have direct and positive impacts on the lives of the people.

Danagogo, gave the
assurance during the media briefing yesterday, Tuesday, September 5 to kick-start events marking the first 100 Days in Office of the present administration.

The Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo maintained that Governor Fubara is focused and determined to deliver on his mandate to the good people of the State.

He revealed that the state government has outlined programmes beginning from today, Wednesday, 6th September, 2023, which is exactly the 100 Days in office with the Governor delivering a state wide broadcast, which has already been done at the time of filing this report.

Danagogo said: “His Excellency will make a State Broadcast to make known the State Policy Direction to the people of Rivers State. From Thursday, 7th September, we will start a marathon program of project commissioning/Flag-off. Every day, we will commission one project until the 9th of October.

“That is the way His Excellency has chosen to mark his 100 Days in Office. It is not about funfair and ceremonies but about showing the people what he has been doing and what he will do for the good of our people. He will also flag-off some projects around the state”.

The media briefing had in attendance the Commissioners of Works, Dr. George-Kelly Alabo, Education, Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom, Special Projects, Engr. Emeka Woke and Health, Dr, Adaeze Oreh.

Some of the projects on the list beginning from 7th September to 9th October, include the Commissioning of the University of Port Harcourt Convocation Arena, Dental and Maxillofacial, ENT and Ophthalmology Hospital, Professor Kelsey Harrison Memorial Hospital, Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borokiri, Mgbuodahia Internal Roads, Alode-Onne Road, Omagwa Internal Roads, Omoku-Aligwu-Krigene Road, etc. Others are flag-off of Elelenwo Internal Roads, Emohia-Ogbakiti Road, Eleto-Ebubu-Eteo Junction, etc.
